Discovering the Camera

So, I'm reading the manual, and trying to understand. (And occasionally being defeated by very silly little things...) Obviously I have to work on better grokking the macro and focus features. I managed an amusing blurry shot of a chive flower. Quite transcendental, but not really a good record of the bloom!

But here's a not too bad shot of one of the blossoming 'feral' columbine in my forest garden. One of the nifty side effects of this camera is that you can tip it to odd angles, like under a flower looking up into a drooping bloom, and still get a sense, thanks to the display screen, that you're even aiming the right way. With my old digital, or my 35mm camera, I'd have had to be lying face down in the garden, and playing contortionist, to photograph this!
