Now how did Nature make this?

Oh Dear!

I'd had this theory I was going to take a 'benchmark' photo or two, to show my standard easy shots BEFORE they turned into winter photo ops. There have already been two fast blasts of winter, and they'd gone again. (The second one, more reluctantly....) And I meant then to get some autumn angles to use for comparison over the next few months. (And as cheering reminders that life wasn't always devoid of colour and solidity.) I'm wondering if I'll even get another chance now...


Not that it's deterred our determined black cats, at least. They insisted, though with doubts...

A Blog Post Just for Me!

My brother and his lady are living and working in Cambodia for four months, and have been keeping a blog of the adventure.
Today he posted an entry, just for me! (Okay, for everyone else too, but with me in mind...)

The Island of Weaving (for Vandy)

Very exciting! Exciting to have someone write a blog post for me, doesn't happen every day, and exciting just because it was a fascinating little expedition thay'd made, on a subject that intrigues me. I was actually going to ask him what they'd seen of textiles, since I know the Indo-China area is rich with textile production.

The entire blog is a fascinating one. Cambodia is so distant. The little I know of it comes from movies (are they an accurate source?) and cookbooks! Carl has filled the blog with photographs of a culture that is both exotic and confusing, as well as writing a wonderful narrative.
The blog is well worth the visit.
