Socks on Parade

Okay, I'm *so* not the Yarn Harlot. But I hadn't taken any handiwork with me on the trip, and eventually we passed by the WalMart and I bought some yarn and darning needles, and started a pair of replacement socks. (My beloved naalbinded ones seem to have vanished in trying to be part of an art exhibit. They didn't actually go in to the exhibit, but they never seemed to come home either...)
Anyway, after hauling my bag of not-quite-woolly stuff around and making some good headway, I realized I should have photographed my incipient sock along the way. There were lots of lovely locales to have showcased it against. Sadly, I didn't think about it till halfway home.
And at speed, in a truck, with available light, might not be the most advantageous of locations, but here you are:
Part 1 of first naalbinded sock, possibly just over the border from Pennsylvania into New York State.

Look Quick!

Before they destroy it....
It's the poor set for I'll Be Back Before Midnight, by Peter Colley. And it's having a rough go. Our antique end table was shattered into component splinters in a blackout, the 'contraption' has had varying decorative bits smashed off, the curtain rings have all had to be replaced, and the fight choreography, perhaps more vehement than prudent, has gouged the antique couch, destructed the coffee table, and taken divots out of the desk chair.

Note to self: Don't let the actors touch things!
