Frogs can scream! I didn't know that.
I had just wandered down to the pond in time to hear it, and see some little froggie kind of bobbing around strangely. Then I got up closer, and realized that he'd been chomped on by a snapping turtle, who proceeded to eat him all up.
I'm sort of sorry for the frog, but then I guess the turtle is part of ur pond environment too, and has to eat something. And better the frog than my foot...
